Timișoara 2023. The City’s Celebration marked one of the highlights of the Timișoara – European Capital of Culture program, bringing together, between October 6 and 8, 2023, over 80,000 participants at 130 events held at 67 locations throughout the city. With a route connecting the banks of the Bega Canal, Uszoda, and numerous cultural and community spaces, this edition transformed the city into an open-air stage for concerts, exhibitions, installations, performances, guided tours, sporting events, and activities for all ages. The program brought together local and international artists and highlighted the community’s creativity, urban heritage, and the potential of public spaces, cementing “Timișoara City Celebration as one of the flagship events of the year in which Timișoara served as the European Capital of Culture.
