Bob Ramanka is the musical alter ego of Bogdan Cotîrță Gruicin, a solo project in which electronic sounds are intertwined with trip hop and spoken word influences. With a cinematic atmosphere and a minimalist sound, Bob Ramanka creates a universe in which sound and lyrics merge organically, supporting each other.
Bogdan was born and lives in Timișoara, is active in the band Melting Dice and is the founder of Muzicon – a platform supporting alternative music. He has collaborated in various interdisciplinary projects (e.g. Opposite Perspectives), and his discographic appearances include his own albums (e.g. Cord Cablu Creier, Mat Deschis) as well as compilations (e.g. Psihodrom V).
His music captures a balance between the digital and the emotional, each song being an incursion into a unique and very familiar state of mind. Among the most representative releases are “Interstellar”, “Voices” and “Side Effect”, songs that reflect the stylistic diversity and expressiveness of this project.
“Trage”, the first single taken from the debut album “Imperfect”, marks a new stage in Bogdan’s artistic evolution. Alongside it, the newly released single “Vorba Bună” sets the stylistic direction of the future discographic material. The album will be released in 2025 and promises to offer a captivating sound experience, exploring deep themes and innovative musical textures.
