"Discover Timișoara" is an interactive installation that turns hand gestures into keys unlocking the city’s visual memory. Through a playful scratch-to-reveal experience, visitors uncover hidden illustrations of iconic buildings and landmarks from Timișoara.
A large-scale LED wall (5x3 meters) becomes a digital canvas layered with mystery. Motion sensors detect the user’s movements in real time, allowing them to “scratch” away a virtual surface and gradually reveal artistically rendered images inspired by the city’s architectural heritage.
Blending curiosity with emotion, the installation encourages exploration and personal connection with urban space. In a calm and contemplative atmosphere, each gesture reveals a piece of the city's illustrated soul — a vibrant, living Timișoara, accessible to everyone regardless of age or background.
