The Treasure Hunt in the Cetate neighbourhood opens the 2026 event series and invites the public to discover Timișoara in the context of the celebration dedicated to the city, on 2 August. The route transforms the central area into an interactive urban game, starting from emblematic landmarks such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, Union Square, and the Maria Theresia Bastion. Participants will explore the city’s celebrated heritage through challenges that combine history, architecture, multiculturalism, and current digital tools, in an accessible, dynamic, and engaging experience.
CDPP Association is an NGO founded in 2017, active in the cultural and educational sectors, with a focus on young people and on promoting heritage through interactive methods. The organisation develops cultural treasure hunts, participatory installations, and educational games, with experience in projects funded at local, national, and European levels. Its initiatives include Treasure of Timișoara, Skills Up for Youth, and Game ON! Festival.
