What will the future taste like when climate change reshapes the ingredients of today?
What happens to our food when the climate changes? How do droughts, extreme weather, biodiversity loss, and shifting growing seasons transform the ingredients, recipes, and food traditions that shape our everyday lives? Join us for the presentation of the gastronomic residency “Changing Tastes”, a unique encounter at the crossroads of art, food, and ecology. Through artistic exploration, research, and creative experimentation, the residency reflects on how climate change is reshaping the way we grow, prepare, share, and imagine food. The event will unveil the outcomes of this creative journey, inviting audiences to engage with stories, artistic interpretations, and sensory experiences inspired by the evolving relationship between food, culture, and the environment.
CRIES – The Resource Center for Ethical and Solidarity-Based Initiatives is a nongovernmental organization dedicated to promoting the social and solidarity economy by supporting the development of local food systems based on cooperation, trust, and mutual responsibility.
Since 2018, CRIES has been implementing the cultural program LA PAS / Slowing Down, which explores the connections between food, culture, community, and sustainability, bringing together artists, local producers, researchers, activists, and the general public in projects that encourage reflection and dialogue on how we produce, consume, and share food. Through artistic interventions, residencies, participatory documentation, workshops, community meals, and educational projects, LA PAS has created an interdisciplinary framework for exploring the challenges and opportunities associated with the transition toward more equitable and resilient food systems.
